Getting started now is the perfect way to maximize those good days for a better all-around you! These spring into action success tips should help.
Spring Into Action Success Tips For You and Your Business:
- Fine tune – Create a New Image – Nothing feels better than a good ole’ spring cleaning and that doesn’t just relate to your home. Now is the perfect time to put a little extra shine on you and your business. For your business, it can be as simple as adding a few updated photos to redoing major parts of your business with new marketing, learning something new and offering it, etc. For personal ideas, consider buying new outfits to brighten up your look. The key is to just do it or come up with a plan on what you want to do and how you plan on achieving it. Don’t leave out that vital part though on actionable tips to take to make it happen. You can write plans down until you are blue in the face, but if you don’t take action you’ll get nowhere. So go ahead and let’s envision a new you!
- Take Time for Fun and Adventure – If you’ve been in business for a while (Iike I have) sometimes things get stale. This happens personally as well. Maybe you stopped doing things that brought you happiness or cut back considerably. Or could you somehow have discovered that in business you are doing things you are no longer passionate about. It’s important to get active again. Think what brings you the most joy in the day to day and plan how to do more of that. For example, I love writing articles so as I’m sitting here writing this, I know one thing for sure, this is bringing me joy. And if someone runs it or connects with me, all the better.
- Get Busy Connecting and Updating – Spring is the perfect time to reconnect with others. Reach out to your clients, potential clients, and even clients that you worked for previously and just reconnect. So often you will hear back, “Wow I was just thinking of you. How are you?” By taking the first step you become on their radar again and it can be a great thing for you and your pocketbook. You might also want to update them on any new services you are providing or even remind them of the services you love doing. Remember this doesn’t necessarily have to be the same services you did for them previously. When you connect and remind clients you are still out there and eager to work together again, often times that’s exactly what they need to get started again. Just keep in mind this needs to be more informal. We know you truly do care so no hard selling here. Be pleasant and low key. The worst that can happen is you get nothing from it, but the best that can happen is you’ve now opened the lines of communication again. Yept, that’s how it works!
- Take Steps to Boost Your Confidence – Has something soured your confidence lately? Maybe a client was unhappy with your work or you made a mistake and it’s eating you up. Or perhaps you are just coming out of a slow period in your business and you are feeling let down. On the personal side, are you not enjoying things that used to be fun or have you picked up a few pounds and that’s getting you down? Whatever the case, spring into action and start building that confidence back up again. Remember you are amazing! Don’t forget it. And if you aren’t feeling amazing as you are reading this, then decide to make changes and address those problem areas you discover that aren’t working well. Start or continue keeping writing in a journal or even writing directly into your daytimer things that are happening. When you have a great day, write it down. Highlight what happened. Say you worked with this client and you achieved something that helped promote their business by covering the topics perfectly. It’s important to not only say you had a good day, but also explain fully what it was that was awesome. Then when you are feeling a lack of confidence, re-read these. It’s amazing what a difference it can make. Plus, it inspires you to have more good days so you have something that you can write down. It’s almost like crossing off those tasks on your to do list – it just feels GREAT! (Of course said with the Tony the Tiger accent.)
So spring forward and take the steps today that will make tomorrow look a whole lot brighter. It’s easier than you think. And soon you’ll be rewarded with better days and nights and a new you and a business you can be proud of. Let’s do it!
