Tell us a little about your business?
I am a Life Coach and Writer at www.ModernMarried.com. I am passionate about teaching women how to create a life they love with the love of their life.
What are some of your top tips for success?
Close your eyes take a deep breath and connect with your heart. Then make decisions from the deep, calm space. I could write thousands of words about this, but if I had to pick just one tip, it would be that. Especially during the holidays!
Can you share with us two of top ways you market?
People find me in all sorts of ways. Facebook and Pinterest are huge. Writing for other blogs has also been so much fun and brought new readers into my world.
I am a Relationship Specialist so I look at marketing as building relationships. I don’t care if you ever buy anything from me – if you read my blog and it helps your marriage, I am thrilled!
What goals do you have for the New Year?
Goals are tricky. I like having loose goals and deep intentions.
For the last few years my favorite New Year’s practice has been to choose a word for the year and then live into the energy of that word.
It has been a much deeper experience than the typical “to do” list. For a very easy guide on how to do this, you can check out this blog post from last year: http://modernmarried.com/new-year-new-you-how-to-choose-one-word-to-turbo-charge-your-year/
How do you normally obtain those goals?
I believe in baby steps and quantum leaps. You do what is yours to do to the best of your ability. You take a little action every day. Then you let serendipity, divine guidance and luck take you the rest of the way. The more deeply I am connected to my intentions and taking baby steps, the luckier I get!
Any additional tips? Come on give us a few secrets to your success…
One of the principles that guides my life is this quote by Samuel Johnson: “To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition.” Stop, breathe and read it again: To be happy. At home. Is the Ultimate Result. Of ALL AMBITION.
That idea is such a great litmus test for anything I work on, or any decision I make. Why do I do everything I do? Will it help me be happy at home? How much is enough?
How do I define my own sense of happiness? When we are able to create a definition of success that matches us like a finger print, that’s when we experience true satisfaction.
That’s what I coach people on, write about, believe in and live in my everyday life.
Have any comical stories you’d like to share about your time in business?
Yes! I co-host a podcast called Life Coach Jam. It was our first hour long special live call. We were so excited! We had like 26 people on the line live, which for a first time anything was huge for us.
We did the call, and it was one of those times that we nailed it. Everything went great.
Then we realized, we didn’t press record.
Can you imagine? We thought we had this brilliant recording and we had nothing.
We are both life coaches so that was a fun after-call – coaching each other through all the emotions of kicking ourselves for making such a newbie mistake.
Then we dusted ourselves off, scheduled another recording time and just got back on the horse. We did the whole call over again. And guess what? It was even better!
Tell us a little about your holidays and how you spend them. We love to get to know the people behind the business, so please do share.
I love the holidays! I love Christmas music (Amy Grant and Michael Buble are two of my favorites.) We decorate the tree and sing and laugh. For thanksgiving I have a personal ritual of taking some time during that weekend to sit down and write 100 things I am thankful for. Yes, 100 things. It’s fun, by number 59 you are giving thanks for things like quick dry nail enamel and the latest Avengers movie.
What is the free gift you are offering our readers?
It seems there is so much stress during the holidays. If we don’t learn to manage that stress it can make a lovely season just unbearable. I am offering a free hour-long recording and PDF guide on how to kick holiday overwhelm and love the holidays all over again.
Here is a description of what it’s all about:
Does the Happiest Season of the Year stress you out?
Are you tired of feeling pulled in a million directions by the holiday parties, gift exchanges, family commitments, work pressures, and your own feeling of overwhelm, exhaustion and perhaps some guilt or resentment?
Would you like to transform your experience of the holiday season through connecting with your inner voice of peace? Would you like to bring a sense of grace and calm to your holidays this season?
This call is for you if you:
Want to truly celebrate the holidays with meaningful connections
Want to choose which shindigs you want to participate in rather than all of the ones you think you “have to” attend
Want to experience greater calm as you as you work on your Shopping & To Do Lists
Are done with over-spending, over-eating and/or over-committing and over-doing it during the Holiday Season, and you want to learn a better way
Want to make this a Season of Peace rather than a Season of Stress
This call is not for you if you:
Think happiness can come wrapped in a box, on a plate or under a tree
Love complaining, whining and wallowing
After you listen, if you find something useful, I would love to hear from you! Please say hello on Facebook or Twitter.

She is also the host of a successful podcast, “Hit the Mic with Stacey Harris.” Contacting Stacey:

Tell us a little about your business?
I work with online entrepreneurs, teaching them to effectively network using social media. I do this through one on one consulting, building VIP strategy plans and speaking. I also host a podcast, Hit the Mic with Stacey Harris where I answer questions and share interviews with power house entrepreneurs.
What are some of your top tips for success?
My top tip is to get yourself out there. Just get started, it’s scary and overwhelming but it’s the most amazing feeling. From a more logistical stand point I’d suggest getting friendly with your calendar and with some sort of project management software, I use Podio, because keeping yourself organized is the biggest hurdle especially as you run your business and run your family.
Can you share with us two of top ways you market?
In today’s market it really is more about who you know than what you know. I focus on relationship marketing so I build relationships with amazing people and have a great time doing it and from that I get the amazing gift of growing my business. I nurture these relationships with a mix of in person and online networking. Also my podcast allows people to hear from me in my real voice and get to know me on a level that just doesn’t come across with text.
Are you planning any special holiday promotions?
I’ve got my amazing powerhouse course, Rock Star Guide to Facebook Marketing available. It’ s100% self study so it’s perfect for this time of year. Take advantage of the slow down and rock it out quickly. Gives you a leg up as we enter 2014.
What goals do you have for the new year?
My goals for 2014 are really to grow my business. I’ve doubled my business every year and 2014 will be no different. I’m doing more speaking, releasing 2 new courses and taking my VIP package out of beta and releasing it to the world.
How do you normally obtain those goals?
I map out my entire year, I know what is going to launch when and what type of marketing needs to happen around each thing to achieve my goals. I’m a HUGE fan of planning. A lot of hustle goes a long way.
How do you make your business unique & profitable?
My business is unique because no one else is me, that may sound cocky but it’s true just like no one else is you. People choose to work with the person not the service and so it’s critical that you’re sharing that personal touch. Doing the things only YOU can do. As far as profits are concerned I just offer the best services and products I can offer, and do whatever I can to get my customers to that next level.
Any additional tips…come on give us a few secrets to your success!
Build relationships with everyone, you never know who is going to lead you to that next big client or that next big opportunity. Just because someone does the same thing you do doesn’t mean you’re competitors it means you have someone who you can share knowledge with and refer clients too when they’re not a good fit or you’re booked solid.
Tell us a little about your holidays and how you spend them. We love to get to know the people behind the business, so please do share.
This year I’m doing something I’ve NEVER done before, I’m actually taking December off for the most part. I will be beta testing my new fabulous VIP package but beyond that I will not be working one on one with any clients. I’m taking 2 weeks 100% off and heading out on vacation with my family.
